Submission Guidelines
Authors intending to submit to The European Educational Researcher, Journal of Research in Science, Mathematics and Technology Education, or International Educational Review are required to carefully review the journal policies and ensure that their manuscripts comply with the guidelines outlined below prior to submission.
Submission Process
All manuscripts must be submitted individually through the official online submission system. Submissions sent via email or in bulk will not be considered. All stages of the submission process, including initial submission, revisions, and final proofs, are conducted through the online system. Authors are expected to respond to editorial communications in a timely manner and to monitor their email accounts, including spam folders, for updates.
Language and Style
Manuscripts must be written in clear and concise English. Either British or American spelling may be used, provided that consistency is maintained throughout the manuscript. Authors whose first language is not English are encouraged to have their manuscripts reviewed for linguistic accuracy prior to submission. Submissions with substantial language deficiencies may be returned for revision before peer review. You can use our AxP Language Editing Servic.
All abbreviations should be defined at their first occurrence, and terminology should be used consistently.
Manuscript Preparation
Manuscripts must be prepared using the official journal templates provided in Microsoft Word format. Authors should follow the formatting and structural instructions included in the templates.
For the purpose of double-blind peer review, submissions must include two separate files:
- Title Page: This file must contain the full title of the manuscript, names of all authors, institutional affiliations, email addresses, and ORCID identifiers.
- Blinded Manuscript: This file should include the complete manuscript without any identifying information. Authors must ensure that all references to their identity (including acknowledgments and self-citations that reveal identity) are removed.
The main manuscript should typically be between 4,500 and 9,500 words, unless otherwise specified by the journal.
Revision Process
If revisions are requested, authors must submit a revised version of the manuscript along with a detailed response to reviewers’ and editors’ comments. All revisions should be clearly indicated, and responses should address each comment systematically.
Submission Requirements
Authors are responsible for ensuring that:
- the manuscript is original and not under consideration elsewhere
- all authors have approved the submission
- ethical and policy requirements of the journal are met
Failure to comply with submission requirements may result in delays or rejection.
Journal Submissions
Submissions can be made to the following journals:
